Don't you love Halloween? We do! Do you need something festive to serve at your Halloween bash this weekend? Or, maybe you want to scare your loved ones when you serve dessert?

The mini ghost and spider cupcakes are $2.00 each. The spooky cupcake toppers are $0.75 each (cupcakes sold separately).

Cupcake of the month!

Whoa! Septembers S'mores cupcake of the month was a huge hit- tons of people poured into the shop to try it... and most of them came back for seconds and thirds!

But, September is over... which means that it's time for a new cupcake of the month! Last October we featured a really great cupcake that we have been receiving requests for ever since. We are happy to report that due to popular demand we are featuring it again this year! It's a Sweet Potato cupcake with orange cream cheese buttercream topped with pecan praline. So yummy!

We are also excited to bring back another flavour favourite from last year- pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese buttercream. Yummy and oh-so-seasonal!

Thanksgiving

Fall officially arrived last week. It seems right on schedule too- the mornings are chilly, the sun is setting earlier and earlier and the leaves are changing to those colours we love so much! Hello cozy sweaters and socks! Goodbye loud air conditioner! Hello warm blankets! Goodbye unbearable heat!

Fall is a baker's time to shine and the yummy staff is excited about the coming harvests: Pumpkins! Apples! Pears! Even sweet potatoes have a place in our bakery!

I don't have to remind you that Thanksgiving is in less than 2 weeks do I? Don't panic if you forgot... you can always count on us to help you out for desserts. Whether it's pie for a crowd, or you are celebrating solo- we are featuring some seriously yummy treats this year! As always, we have the old favourites... but make sure you take a look at what else is on the menu- it's very tempting! A customer asked that we make a small cake for a backyard wedding, she really wanted to highlight the abundance of pear trees in the yard- isn't this the perfect wedding cake? The pears are made of marzipan it's not only edible but tasty!

Cupcake of the month!

September is already here! That means it's time for a new cupcake of the month!

September is about savoring the last few days of summer- it's time to enjoy one last swim in the lake and a few more ice cream cones. Bathing suits and sandals will soon be swapped for cozy sweaters and winter boots. Time to have a few last summer bonfires... roast some marshmallows and eat a few more s'mores.

Wait!!! No need to go out and buy all the fixin's for s'mores- just come to yummy stuff and pick up our cupcake of the month: graham cracker base, chocolate cupcake with chocolate filling and a burnt marshmallow topping! I suggest picking up at least 2 for everyone... they are that yummy!

A great back-to-school treat!

Ahhh... school lunches: peanut butter and jam sandwich, crisp red apple, celery sticks and cookies: this has been the classic lunch since...well...sliced bread!

How about celebrating the new school year with a sandwich cake? Delicious vanilla flavoured pound cake with a peanut butter/milk chocolate and raspberry jam filling...Mmmm... yummy!

Don't be fooled by the pictures: that's a full sized cake plate, this is no ordinary sized sandwich. This clever treat serves 10-12 and costs $25.00. Please call us at least 48 hours in advance if you would like to order!

Yummy Stuff Offering Gluten Free Treats!

One of the most popular requests we get at yummy stuff is for gluten free treats. Until now we've had to turn our gluten free customers away... baking is a tricky business and doing so without traditional ingredients is even trickier! We are happy to report that (after a few test batches) we now have gluten free cupcakes and cakes! Perfectly moist, spongy cake with our oh so popular buttercream... we promise, you won't miss the gluten!
