The best comeback...

It's here! Everyday this week, customers have been coming into the shop and asking when we will be making our (apparently notorious) pumpkin cupcakes- I'm happy to report that they have made their return on our shelves and people couldn't be happier!

I should mention that we took this cupcake from amazing to spectacular by adding some brown butter to the (already-delicious) cream cheese frosting. We also made a delicious candied pecan and pumpkin mix and sprinkled it on top! SO GOOD!

We have decided to keep last months Apple cinnamon cupcake around for just a little while longer because, well, it's too yummy to part with just yet!

Were starting to introduce our fall menu (see below post)- summer pies are fantastic, but Fall pies are so worth the wait! Pumpkin, apple, pear and more are on our shelves now. Next weekend we will be fully stocked with treats to make your Thanksgiving yummier!

Yummy Stuff will be selling our treats at the 99 Sudbury Market this Sunday from 11am through 5pm. This isn't your typical farmers market- while there is a selection of fresh fruit and veg there's a whole lot more! It's the perfect market for the inner-city crowd, featuring handmade jewellery, clothing, artisan pieces for the home with some great gourment coffee and food vendors... of course, we'll be selling our almost-famous red velvet cupcakes along with other treats to tempt you!

We're back... and we've baked up another winner!

We're back in the bakery after a lovely, restful end of summer break. It's hard to believe that summer is winding down: the kids are back at school, the cottage is locked up for another year and there is a bit of a frosty nip in the air. It's always hard to say goodbye to summer, but luckily, the end of summer means lots of yummy months await us. Thanksgiving and Christmas are the most delicious holidays... wouldn't you agree?

Speaking of eating... there's a new cupcake in town and this one means business:

A moist apple cupcake with a cinnamon buttercream on top- the special thing about this guy is the mean layer of caramel-bourbon sauce hiding between the cake and the frosting; whip out a fork for this one, he's a mouthful!
