Happy Birthday To Us!

We are having a party on Saturday, June 26th! Yummy Stuff will be celebrating it's second year in Parkdale!
As a special birthday gift to all our fantastic customers, we will be offering our regular sized cupcakes for $2.00! Come by the shop and help us celebrate... there will be free yummy stuff being handed out all day long!

Fathers Day Treats!

Do you have the best dad ever? I do. It seems as though Dads are pre-programmed with a unique set of skills and can, on any day, be one (or all) of the following: fixer of all things broken, professional landscaper, BBQ-er extraordinaire, champion beer drinker, plumber, personal finance adviser and comedian. Let's all give our Dads a big hug and spend some time with him this weekend.

We have you covered this Fathers Day: swing by the shop and pick up something yummy to show your Dad how much you care. How about some cookies in the shapes of his favorite things? Maybe your Dad likes cake? Maybe he fancies pie? Or, maybe he is a golfer- why not pick him up a chocolate cupcake with "golf green" frosting and a golf ball topper he can use for his next tee time?

Time to treat Dad. The weather in Toronto is supposed be beautiful this weekend. I'm thinking a BBQ (burgers of course!) with potato salad, coleslaw, cold beers and lots of yummy stuff!

Cupcake of the month!

Wow! June already? The month of May sped by us- we spent a lot of time making some really beautiful custom cakes for many happy customers!

This month's cupcake is a real treat: orange and poppyseed, another winning flavour combo. It's the perfect treat to begin our transition into summer: light, spongy and delicate. Also perfect for snacking while strolling along Queen west- come by the shop and pick one up! Yum!

In other news... are pastry case has been home to some pretty great treats in the last few weeks. Nothing beats the extra-special treats we had this weekend: open faced strawberry pie made with... local Ontario strawberries! Summer bounty is here! Stay tuned for lots of yummy updates!

A customer came to us with several ideas and pictures of what she wanted and this is our interpretation- an entirely edible (even the chopsticks) cake!

If you are interested in having your own sushi cake, please take note that we need a minimum of 7 days notice. This particular cake costs $6.00/ serving and can be made to feed a crowd of any size!

Elvis Lives!

This months cupcake is an ode to one of those really perfect flavor combos... A combo that is worthy of being in sandwiches, cookies and straight from the jar!
It's a moist banana cupcake with peanut butter filling and a swirl of chocolate buttercream frosting to top it off!
We named this cupcake after the man who would have definitely loved it. Introducing... The Elvis.
Come on by the shop and try one of these treats while you can... Elvis will only be around until the end of May!

Fun in the sun!

Take a look at these fun cupcakes we made for a happy customer last week!

We made these little beauties for a beach themed party- but they are so cute, who wouldn't want them for any occasion? I will definitely be featuring these at my next summer BBQ!

We can make these cupcakes in any of our regular cupcake flavors. After they are frosted, we dip them in graham crumbs to make the "sand." The thong sandals, sand dollars, beach balls and starfish are all hand made out of fondant!

Cupcake of the month!

April is here... at Yummy Stuff that means its time for a new cupcake of the month!

This months cupcake is our toast to Spring! Blueberries, honey and lemon baked into a cupcake and topped with a lemon honey buttercream frosting.... mmm... completely fresh and irresistible!

In other news... Easter weekend is here! While the shop is closed on Good Friday, we will be open 9-6 on Saturday and 12-5 on Easter Sunday. We will be stocking our pastry case full of all kinds of Easter treats as well as all of your regular favorites. Some of this weekends features are: lemon cheesecake, chocolate cream pie, flourless chocolate cakes and Easter "egg" cakes- not to mention the cupcakes decorated with green buttercream grass and chocolate eggs... super cute and so delicious!
